I am not referring to the history of a country by any means. That might take a little longer post then I intend on writing. What I mean is; how I find myself in a different country. It’s not like I have money falling out of my pockets or stuffed bank accounts where I just close my eyes, place my finger on a map and go. Well I wish I could and to be honest, the part with closed eyes is somewhat true, but unfortunately only that 🙂 . The idea comes very spontaneously, then I check flights, accommodations and then I start saving. I read books, search the internet, make notes, make itineraries and save for weeks or months. Maybe in someone’s mind it is not a very spontaneous way of traveling, however spontaneously I can go for a walk, not travel to a different country. I need to know what I should see, what I must see, what I cannot see, how to behave so I will not be a bother to locals, and things of that nature. First things first! Find out when you want to go. Climate can play tricks on you, so better be prepared and know when rainfall is more probable. Make an itinerary, you can always change it if needed. Mine was: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Surat Thani, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Phuket and back to Bangkok. I had three and a half weeks for all of that.
Hope you will stay and discover those places with me
